FRSC Zonal Commanding Officer Visits KASU to Explore Collaboration on Safety Initiatives

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Zonal Headquarters paid a courtesy visit to Kaduna State University (KASU) on August 20, 2024, to explore potential collaborations on safety initiatives.

Led by Zonal Commanding Officer Ahmed Umar, the delegation met with KASU's Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Muhammad Bashir Ali, and other key officials.

The proposed collaboration aims to:

- Conduct safety research

- Initiate sensitization programs on road safety, vehicle maintenance, and traffic regulations

- Train and retrain drivers on proficiency and observance of traffic regulations

Prof. Ali commended the FRSC's commitment to education, while Prof. Helen Afang Andow, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Strategy, Innovation, and Service Delivery, reaffirmed safety as a top priority for the university's management.

The meeting marked a significant step towards enhancing safety standards and promoting collaboration between the FRSC and KASU.
