FUDUTSE Receives NUC Full Accreditation for 30 New Academic Programmes

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved the establishment of the Faculty of Law at Federal University Dutse (FUDUTSE) and granted approval for full-time mode across 30 new academic programmes, commencing from the 2026/2027 academic session.

The approval was conveyed in an official letter dated September 11, 2026, with reference number NUC/AP/F33/VOL.II/15.

The letter was signed by the NUC Director of Academic Planning, Abubakar M. Girei, and addressed to the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Ahmad Mohammed Gumel.

The university stated that admission into the MBBS programme will not hold for the 2026/2027 academic session due to ongoing restructuring and adjustments within the College of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Commenting on the development, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ahmad Mohammed Gumel, said the expansion aligns with modern societal and industry needs, particularly in technology, science education and health-related disciplines.

He added that the development is aimed at ensuring that graduates of Federal University Dutse remain equipped with relevant skills and prepared for the workforce.
