The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) served as a key partner in the 2026 World Health Day celebrations, held on April 7, in collaboration with the Nasarawa State Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Aligned with the global theme, “Together for Health, Stand with Science,” the day’s activities commenced with a high-visibility "Health Walk." Participants marched from the Lafia Local Government Area Secretariat along Makurdi Road to the University’s Permanent Site Campus, advocating for public health awareness and scientific literacy.
