FULafia VC Abdul Rahman Appoints New Heads and Coordinators in Medical Faculties
The Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman has appointed new department heads and coordinators across various medical faculties, effective September 5, 2024.

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has approved a series of key appointments within the university’s medical faculties. These appointments, which will take effect from September 5, 2024, will last for a period of one year, according to a statement released by the Registrar, Malam Nuradeen Abdu.
Among the appointments, Dr. Ufo Ejike Akunna has been named the Acting Head of the Department of Radiography. Additionally, the following academic staff members were appointed to leadership positions across various departments:
1. Dr. James Lokoja A. - Acting Head, Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Clinical Sciences
2. Dr. Agbo Paul - Acting Head, Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Clinical Sciences
3. Dr. Ahmed Muhammed Rabiu - Acting Head, Department of Human Physiology, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences
4. Ahmed Tijani Bako - Acting Head, Department of Anesthesia, Faculty of Clinical Sciences
5. Dr. Timjul Tanko Tyem - Coordinator, Department of Medical Biochemistry, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences
6. Dr. Lawal Ahmed Abdulmumuni - Acting Head, Department of Human Anatomy, Basic Medical Sciences
7. Dr. Yusuf Idris Abiola - Acting Head, Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Clinical Sciences
