**FULafia Vice-Chancellor Appreciates PTDF for State-of-the-Art Physics Department Facility**

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has expressed his appreciation to the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) for constructing a state-of-the-art facility for the institution's Department of Physics.

The ultra-modern facility, which is currently under construction, is expected to house cutting-edge equipment and resources, significantly improving the teaching, research, and learning environment for both students and faculty. 

Speaking on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor at a tripartite meeting with PTDF representatives and project consultants, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Partnerships, Professor Samaila Dakyes, commended PTDF’s commitment to advancing education and human capital development in Nigeria.

"This generous intervention significantly enhances our capacity to produce high-quality graduates equipped with skills and knowledge to drive Nigeria's technological advancement," Professor Abdul Rahman noted.

The Vice-Chancellor also reaffirmed FULafia’s commitment to ensuring the project's timely completion, pledging the university’s support to contractors working on the site.

During the meeting, the PTDF team reiterated their dedication to supporting Nigerian tertiary institutions and highlighted the role of strategic partnerships in fostering national development.

Key attendees included Professor Ilemona Adofu, Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Johnson Bamikole, Head of the Physics Department, former department head Professor Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, and several staff from the Physical Planning Unit and Department of Physics.

This donation marks a strengthening of the partnership between FULafia and PTDF, opening doors for future collaborations in research, capacity building, and talent development.
