The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has expressed appreciation to the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) for constructing a state-of-the-art facility for the university’s Department of Physics.

The facility, still under construction, is designed to enhance teaching and research with cutting-edge equipment. Speaking at a tripartite meeting with PTDF and project consultants, Abdul Rahman, represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and Partnerships, Professor Samaila Dakyes, praised PTDF’s efforts in advancing education and human capital development in Nigeria.

“This intervention will significantly boost our capacity to produce skilled graduates, contributing to Nigeria’s technological progress,” he stated.

The vice-chancellor also reaffirmed the university’s commitment to ensuring the project is completed on schedule.

PTDF reiterated its dedication to supporting tertiary institutions in Nigeria, emphasizing the role of partnerships in driving national development.

The meeting was attended by key university officials, including Professor Ilemona Adofu, Director of Academic Planning, and Dr. Johnson Bamikole, Head of the Physics Department.
