FULOKOJA VC Acknowledges Receipt of 198M NELFund Sponsorship, Commences Disbursement to 1,665 Student Subscribers

The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, has acknowledged the receipt of One Hundred and Ninety Eight Million, Nine Hundred and Seventy Four Thousand Naira Only (N198,974,000.00), being the total sum for the 1665 students of the University who applied and were successful for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) sponsorship.
Professor Akinwumi made the disclosure in a letter addressed to the Managing Director/CEO of the NELFUND today Friday, 10th October 2025.
"The fund is being disbursed to all the successful students accordingly using the account details provided by them. This mode of disbursement enables those students who paid their institutional charges before the release of the funds from the NELFUND to recover their money immediately," he said.
The Vice-Chancellor used the opportunity to thank the Management of NELFUND for the gesture extended to the students of Federal University Lokoja, while looking forward to the Agency's usual support and cooperation for the 2025/2026 academic session.
