FUNAAB Announces Call for Entries for 2026 COAS and CAS Literary Competitions

The announcement, conveyed in a release issued by the Dean, Student Affairs, Professor Festus Adeosun, stated that the Chief of Army Staff Literary Competition is themed “The People’s Army, Our Army,” while the Chief of Air Staff Literary Competition focuses on “Optimising Emerging Technologies for Enhanced Air Operations.”
The competitions are designed to encourage young Nigerians to apply creativity and critical thinking to contemporary security challenges, while promoting intellectual engagement on issues of national development and defence strategy.
Interested students are advised to obtain further details and submit entries through the official competition portals:

Participation guidelines specify that applicants must be between 18 and 24 years of age, and submitted essays must strictly align with the approved themes. Entries are required to be clearly typed, as scanned handwritten manuscripts will not be accepted.
Each submission must include the participant’s full name, age, institution, phone number, and email address. All completed essays are to be uploaded through the designated websites on or before March 31, 2026.
