FUNAAB Maiden Health Week Symposium Sees Successful Medical Screenings
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has made significant strides in promoting preventive healthcare through its maiden Health Week Symposium.
The event's third day saw the commencement of free medical investigations for staff and students, drawing participation from across the university community.
According to Dr. Oluseyi Anjorin, Ag. Director of University Health Services, the symposium has been a resounding success, with 252 individuals attending medical check-ups on the first day. The university management's provision of necessary funds has enabled the organization of this impactful event.
Dr. Oludayo Oduwole, Head of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), praised the university management for recognizing the importance of periodic health checks for staff. He expressed optimism that the program will become more robust in subsequent years.
The event has not only provided a platform for medical screenings but also fostered a sense of community among participants. With its success, the symposium is expected to set a precedent for future health-related initiatives in the university.
