FUNAAB-OYSCATECH Degree Programmes Celebrate Maiden Matriculation Ceremony

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), in partnership with Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), Igboora, proudly hosted the maiden matriculation ceremony for the 2025/2026 Academic Session, officially inducting the pioneer set of students into the joint degree programmes.

The historic event took place on 28th November 2025, marking a significant milestone in the collaboration between the two institutions.

In his address, Vice-Chancellor of FUNAAB, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, congratulated the fresh students and described matriculation as a rite of passage, symbolizing the start of a transformative academic journey grounded in learning, innovation, and personal development. Represented by Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, outgoing Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and current Vice-Chancellor of Aletheia University, Prof. Kehinde reaffirmed FUNAAB’s commitment to academic excellence, global relevance, and service to humanity. He emphasized the University’s focus on nurturing integrity, creativity, and leadership in students and expressed gratitude to parents and guardians for entrusting their wards to the institution.

The Vice-Chancellor also commended the management and officials of OYSCATECH, including the Rector, Prof. Akinola Akinlabi, for their collaboration and dedication to the success of the affiliation programme. He urged the newly matriculated students to approach their studies with determination, focus, and discipline as they embark on their academic journey within the FUNAAB community.

The ceremony, conducted by the Registrar, Dr. Titus Adeniyi, concluded with jubilant celebrations from students, families, and staff, marking a memorable beginning for the pioneer cohort of the FUNAAB-OYSCATECH Degree Programmes.
