FUTA Opens 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Registration

The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) has announced the commencement of its online registration for the Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for admission into all undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

According to the university, the registration exercise will begin on Monday, June 1, 2026, and end on Friday, July 3, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

The university stated that the following categories of candidates are eligible for the screening:

Candidates who scored a minimum of 180 in the 2026 UTME conducted by JAMB;

Direct Entry candidates who selected FUTA as their first choice institution;

All applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and relevant subjects in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent, obtained in not more than two sittings.

The institution also confirmed that admissions into the MBBS programme, previously suspended, have been reinstated, and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

Application Procedure

Candidates are required to:

Visit www.futa.edu.ng for detailed information;

Complete and submit the online Post-UTME application form;

Print out the registration slip after successful submission.

Applicants must ensure that their UTME registration number and full names, as they appear on their JAMB slip, are correctly entered during payment and registration.

Screening Fee

The screening fee is ₦2,000 only, payable via the Remita platform after generating the required payment code at any approved bank.

Important Instructions

The university emphasized that:

Late registration will not be allowed;

Candidates who fail to undergo screening will not be considered for admission;

Applicants must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026;

O’Level results must be uploaded to JAMB CAPS on or before July 3, 2026;

Failure to upload results will render candidates ineligible for admission.
