The Vice-Chancellor of FUTA Prof. Adenike Oladiji Tours Schools, begs students, and staff for peaceful coexistence within and outside the campus.

Federal University of Technology, Akure Vice Chancellor Tours Schools preaches peace and good working relationship.

The  Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Professor Adenike Oladiji has enjoined staff and students of the institution to always promote peaceful coexistence and good human and working relationships within and outside the campus.

She stated this while leading the university management on a familiarization tour to all the schools within the campus.

Professor Oladiji ,who was warmly received by the staff of each School led by their Deans, Heads of Departments, teaching and non teaching staff added that  peace building will engender  favourable working condition and enhancement and promotion of the FUTA brand. 

According to her, " If there is peace among staff and students, development will multiply which will impact positively on us all."

 The Vice Chancellor  appreciated all members of staff for their dedication and commitment to work and making the institution proud through teaching, research, community development, attraction of local and international grants and winning of laurels by staff and students which has improved the rating of the university positively, making it the envy of others across the nation . Sh charged them not to relent, but strive to win more. "I have it on  record the number of successful applications for grants from FUTA,  and that we have highest grants application with high success in Nigeria" she added.

Professor Oladiji  encouraged staff not to rest on their oars, but to come up with new innovative ideas that will take FUTA to a better marketable place in the years ahead. She said this will further take the name of the university to the global market.

The Deans while welcoming the Vice Chancellor, describe her as an erudite Professor, an enviable scholar, impactful researcher and a visionary leader at her former university which aided her appointment as the 8th substantive Vice Chancellor and the 1st Female Vice Chancellor of the University. They promised their loyalty and support to the Vice Chancellor and her management team with the assurance to do their best to sustain FUTA's reputable image all over the world.

In her message for the yuletide, Professor Oladiji appreciated all the members of staff for their cooperation  and prayers in moving the university forward and encouraged all staff to show love to one another so as to have a good  working environment. "As we celebrate Christmas, it is a season of peace to show love to one another so as to have a good  environment to work".

The Vice Chancellor was accompanied by the Deputy Vice Chancellors, Registrar , Bursar , Librarian and other principal Officers of the university.
