FUTA Vice-Chancellor Honored as Most Impactful Educationist and School Administrator of the Year 2025

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council, has formally presented its prestigious Award for Most Impactful Educationist and School Administrator of the Year 2025 to Professor Adenike Oladiji, Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).

The award, conferred during the PEN-GANZA & AWARD Nite held on 21 December 2025 at the NUJ Press Centre, Alagbaka, Akure, recognizes Professor Oladiji’s outstanding contributions to education in Nigeria and her exemplary leadership in university administration. It is regarded as one of the most credible accolades in Ondo State, highlighting her integrity, dedication, and visionary approach in advancing the academic sector.

The formal presentation took place on Monday, 12 January 2026, when Mr. Adegbenro Adebanjo, Director of Corporate Communication and Protocol at FUTA, received the award on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor. Mr. Gideon Adeoye, Deputy Director of Corporate Communication, also attended the presentation.

Receiving the award, Professor Oladiji expressed gratitude to NUJ, emphasizing the union’s role as a key partner in projecting the University’s activities positively. She called for a continued and strengthened collaboration between FUTA and NUJ in the new year and beyond, stressing the importance of robust partnerships in advancing institutional visibility and educational development.
