The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) has warned members of the public against fake Facebook accounts impersonating its Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji.

The institution clarified that the accounts circulating on Facebook do not belong to the Vice-Chancellor, cautioning the public against engaging with them.

In its disclaimer, FUTA urged individuals to exercise caution, particularly regarding interactions or financial transactions involving the accounts or other similar cloned profiles.

The institution stated that neither the Vice-Chancellor nor FUTA would be responsible for any dealings or transactions conducted through such fraudulent accounts.

Members of the public are therefore advised to verify the authenticity of any social media account claiming to represent Professor Oladiji before engaging with it or sharing personal information.
