FUTH Lafia Community in Mourning Following Tragic Loss of Nurse Juwairiya Musa Liman

The Federal University Teaching Hospital (FUTH), Lafia, is in a state of solemn reflection following the untimely passing of Nurse Juwairiya Musa Liman, who lost her life in a tragic road traffic accident along the Akwanga-Lafia Road on April 27, 2026.

The hospital community gathered in a moving procession to honor her memory, marching through the facility before being received by the hospital’s leadership.

The Chief Medical Director (CMD), Dr. Ikrama Hassan, accompanied by senior management staff, expressed profound grief over the loss. He described Nurse Liman as a "committed healthcare worker" whose dedication to patient care and service left an indelible impact on the institution.

“Her service will not be forgotten,” Dr. Hassan stated, offering words of encouragement to the staff—particularly the nursing department—urging them to remain resilient during this difficult period. The CMD concluded the reception with prayers for the repose of her soul and for strength for her bereaved family.
