The event, a historic sporting competition, will unite athletes and students from various tertiary institutions across Niger State, celebrating sportsmanship, unity, and excellence.
Event Venues and Sporting Disciplines:
- Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna: Badminton, Table Tennis, Combat Games
- FUTMINNA & 123 Indoor Sports Complex: Basketball
- Minna Sports Club: Squash
- FUTMINNA: Volleyball
- College of Education, Minna: Tennis
- 123 Field: Athletics
- FUTMINNA G.K. and Mohammed Umaru Bago Field: Football
Eligibility:
Participation is open to all bona fide students of tertiary institutions within Niger State, including Pre-Degree, Diploma, Certificate, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate students.
Call to Stakeholders:
The SUG urged all participants, institutions, and stakeholders to cooperate fully to ensure the success of the inaugural edition, highlighting the games as a landmark initiative in Niger State’s sporting history.
The announcement was signed by Comr. Siraj Sultan, SUG Director of Sports, who emphasized that sports are a critical tool for fostering unity and development among students.
