The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) has issued an official notice addressing the impending closure of course registration for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to a press release dated 24 January 2026, the university had initially set 25 January 2026 as the final date for course registration. However, several students raised concerns regarding the short timeframe.
In response, the SUG confirmed that it has formally communicated these concerns to university management on behalf of the student body. The Union also stated that ongoing engagements with management aim to secure a possible extension or adjustment of the registration deadline.
The SUG leadership expressed optimism that these discussions will result in a positive outcome that benefits all students. Meanwhile, students have been advised to remain calm and monitor official channels for further updates as negotiations continue.
