Gombe State University Management Pays Courtesy Visit to First Lady, Dr. Asma'u Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya

A delegation from Gombe State University (GSU), led by Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, paid a thank-you visit to Dr. Asma'u Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Wife of the Executive Governor of Gombe State, on January 31, 2025.
The visit aimed to express gratitude for Dr. Yahaya's instrumental role in initiating a TETFund project, which includes constructing an auditorium for the university. During the visit, Professor Yauta presented the architectural plans for the new auditorium and conveyed the university community's appreciation.
The GSU management also presented Dr. Yahaya with university lapels and samples of the GSU bottled water as a token of appreciation. Dr. Yahaya expressed her gratitude for GSU's efforts in expanding its facilities and commended the management for their dedication to academic and infrastructural development.
She particularly praised the university for establishing an Institute for Gender Studies, the first of its kind in any Northeastern university in Nigeria, and for its commitment to fair and inclusive admissions. The visit reinforced the strong partnership between the university and the state government, highlighting their shared commitment to advancing higher education and gender inclusivity in Gombe State and Northern Nigeria.
