Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf Makes Surprise Visit to Northwest University Kano

The Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, made an unannounced visit to Northwest University Kano on November 14, 2025, where he observed the Jumu'ah prayer at the university's Central Mosque.

The governor's visit was warmly received by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Aisha Garba Habib, and members of the university community.

After the congregational prayer, Governor Yusuf took time to interact with staff, students, and residents of the surrounding community, exchanging greetings and listening to their concerns. This visit marks his first to the university since the 2nd Combined Convocation Ceremony in July 2025, which highlighted the institution's academic progress.
