Huawei to Upgrade ABU ICT Infrastructure

Huawei Nigeria has commenced a comprehensive needs assessment to upgrade the ICT infrastructure at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria. The project follows a high-level meeting between the university management and Huawei officials in Abuja.

The assessment aims to provide a roadmap for modernizing ABU's ICT infrastructure, including the deployment of smart classrooms and advanced e-learning platforms. A delegation from Huawei, led by Mr. Mars Zhangmi, Director of Enterprise Solutions Group, visited the university to evaluate its ICT infrastructure and identify areas for modernization.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adamu Ahmed, emphasized the need for urgent upgrades to support the institution's growing student population and e-learning initiatives. He also outlined plans to host on-campus innovation competitions to prepare students for Huawei recruitment processes and global ICT challenges.
