JABU Secures Top 10 Finish at NPUGA-Bells Games 2026

Joseph Ayo Babalola University recorded an impressive outing at the Nigeria Private University Games Association Games hosted by Bells University of Technology, Ogun State, from 23-27 February 2026. 

Competing in football (5-a-side), chess, Scrabble, and 3-on-3 basketball, Team JABU delivered commendable performances. The basketball team clinched bronze after reaching the semifinals, while the Scrabble team secured silver in the team event, a standout achievement of the competition.

In chess, JABU players demonstrated strong potential across events, and despite a challenging outing in football, the University finished 7th overall on the medal table with one silver and one bronze medal.

The JABU team was led by the University Chairman Sport Committee, Professor Y.K. Adeigbe, and the University Sport Coach, Mr. T.S. Oyebode.
