JAMB Detains Individuals for AI-Powered UTME Result Manipulation

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has taken into custody two candidates and a parent following allegations of using AI to alter 2026 UTME scores.

These arrests, which took place alongside the release of results for over 630,000 students, highlight new methods in exam fraud, reported by Vanguard Nigeria.

JAMB spokesperson Dr. Fabian Benjamin stated the suspects manipulated electronic result notifications to mislead the public, according to Vanguard Nigeria.
