Jigawa Governor Approves Payment of School Fees for Indigent Students

Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has approved the payment of registration fees in respect of the Jigawa State undergraduate students studying different courses at Federal University, Dutse FUD, Bayero University, Kano (BUK), Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil (ADUSTECH) and University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID).

Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has approved the payment of registration fees in respect of the Jigawa State undergraduate students studying different courses at Federal University, Dutse FUD, Bayero University, Kano (BUK), Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil (ADUSTECH) and University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID). 

Myschoolnews reports the sum of N167,024,950.00 was approved for the exercise by the state's executive council.

The Council's decision is in line with the present administration policy to help parents with low income cope with the increase in registration fees for their children.

Similarly, the Council has approved the review of 

bursary scholarship for the Jigawa State Indigenes with immediate effect and the timing of the bursary payment should be at the beginning of every session when sessions commence.
