Kaduna State University Hosts FRSC Delegation to Explore Safety Collaboration

Kaduna State University (KASU) recently received a courtesy visit from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Zonal Headquarters, led by Zonal Commanding Officer Ahmed Umar, FISPON, and his team.

The visit aimed to explore potential collaborations between FRSC and KASU on safety initiatives.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Muhammad Bashir Ali, welcomed the delegation on behalf of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, emphasizing the importance of the proposed collaboration and commending FRSC's commitment to education.

The FRSC Zonal Commanding Officer highlighted the corps' intention to collaborate with academic institutions on safety research, initiate sensitization programs for staff and students, and train drivers on proficiency and traffic regulations.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Strategy, Innovation, and Service Delivery, Prof. Helen Afang Andow, reaffirmed safety as a top priority for the university's management and praised the FRSC's initiative, noting that achieving excellence requires support from various sectors.

The meeting was attended by key officials, including the Chief Security Officer, Director of ICT, Director of University Advancement, Public Relations Officer, and Protocol Officer.
