Kano Poly Rector Receives Newly Elected ASUP Executives, Pledges Enhanced Collaboration
The Rector of Kano State Polytechnic, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk, FCA, has reaffirmed his commitment to a harmonious industrial climate following a courtesy visit by the newly elected executive members of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Kano State Polytechnic branch.
The meeting, held on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, served as a formal introduction of the new union leadership to the Polytechnic’s management.
The primary objective of the visit was to foster a more robust and cordial working relationship between the union and the institution's administration. During the session, the ASUP executives expressed their readiness to partner with the management to advance the academic and welfare interests of its members, while ensuring the continued stability of the Polytechnic.
In his response, Dr. Farouk congratulated the new leadership on their election.
