Kashim Ibrahim University Management Team Pays Eid Homage to Borno State Deputy Governor

The representative of the Vice-Chancellor of Kashim Ibrahim University (KIU), Professor Shuibu Garba Ngulde, led a high-powered management delegation on a Sallah homage visit to the Deputy Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Usman Umar Kadafur.

Speaking during the visit, Professor Ngulde explained that the delegation was at the Government House on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Babagana Gutti, who is currently in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage.

"We are here together with members of the university management to convey our Sallah greetings and best wishes to your office as part of our cherished tradition of paying Sallah homage," Professor Ngulde said.

He further expressed appreciation to the Borno State Government for its continued support and commitment toward the development and growth of Kashim Ibrahim University.

"On behalf of the Council, Senate, Management, Staff and Students of Kashim Ibrahim University, we sincerely thank the Borno State Government for its unwavering support and the enabling environment provided for the institution to thrive," he added.

Professor Ngulde also congratulated the government and people of the state for the peaceful and successful conduct of the recent primary elections in the state.

Responding, the Deputy Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Usman Umar Kadafur, warmly welcomed the KIU management delegation and appreciated the university for the Sallah homage visit.

"On behalf of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, I warmly welcome you all to the Government House for this year's Sallah homage," he stated.

The Deputy Governor assured the institution of the government's continued support, emphasizing the critical role tertiary institutions play in the development and progress of the state.

"We appreciate the contributions of tertiary institutions toward the development of Borno State, and I assure you that the government will continue to support your efforts. We also pray for lasting peace in the state and remain committed to the progress and prosperity of our people under the leadership of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum," Kadafur added.

He thanked the university management for the visit and assured them that their goodwill message would be conveyed to the Governor.

"I thank you all for the Sallah homage, and I will convey your message to His Excellency, Insha'Allah," he concluded.

In the same vein, the KIU management delegation also paid a similar Sallah homage visit to His Royal Highness, the Shehu of Borno, where they extended warm Eid greetings and wished him Barka da Sallah while praying for continued peace, prosperity, and progress in Borno State.
