KASU Microbiology Students Win National Quiz & Spelling Bee Competition

Students from the Department of Microbiology, Kaduna State University (KASU), have emerged victorious at the National Quiz and Spelling Bee Competition held at Gombe State University, Gombe State. Their outstanding performance earned them an Award of Excellence, further cementing KASU’s reputation for academic excellence.

In recognition of this remarkable achievement, the President of the Association of Microbiology Students, KASU Chapter, Adamu Abubakar, led a delegation of executive members to present the award to the Vice-Chancellor of KASU, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa.

During the presentation, Abubakar expressed gratitude to the university’s management for its unwavering support, both academically and financially, which he credited as a crucial factor in their success. He commended KASU for fostering an environment that nurtures excellence and provides students with the necessary resources to compete at national levels.

Prof. Musa, in his remarks, lauded the students for their dedication and brilliance, noting that their victory is a testament to the high academic standards maintained at KASU. The Registrar of KASU, Samira Balarabe, Esq., also congratulated the students for their impressive performance, commending their resilience and commitment. The award presentation ceremony was attended by high-ranking university officials, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Prof. Yushau Ibrahim Ango, and the Director of the Centre for Mentorship and Career Development, Dr. Bashariyya Bashir Mustapha, among others.
