KASU Microbiology Students Win National Quiz & Spelling Bee Competition
Students from the Department of Microbiology, Kaduna State University (KASU), won the National Quiz and Spelling Bee Competition at Gombe State University, earning an Award of Excellence. The Association of Microbiology Students, led by President Adamu Abubakar, presented the award to KASU’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, who commended their dedication and academic excellence.

Students from the Department of Microbiology, Kaduna State University (KASU), have emerged victorious at the National Quiz and Spelling Bee Competition held at Gombe State University, Gombe State. Their outstanding performance earned them an Award of Excellence, further cementing KASU’s reputation for academic excellence.
In recognition of this remarkable achievement, the President of the Association of Microbiology Students, KASU Chapter, Adamu Abubakar, led a delegation of executive members to present the award to the Vice-Chancellor of KASU, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa.
During the presentation, Abubakar expressed gratitude to the university’s management for its unwavering support, both academically and financially, which he credited as a crucial factor in their success. The Registrar of KASU, Samira Balarabe, Esq., also congratulated the students for their impressive performance, commending their resilience and commitment. She assured them of continued institutional support and announced that the university would organize a special event to celebrate their success and inspire other students to pursue academic excellence.
The award presentation ceremony was attended by high-ranking university officials, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Prof. Yushau Ibrahim Ango, and the Director of the Centre for Mentorship and Career Development, Dr. Bashariyya Bashir Mustapha, among others.
