The Vice-Chancellor of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN), Kano, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, has called for stronger collaboration and commitment toward improving Nigeria’s education sector and tackling the growing challenge of out-of-school children.

Prof. Garba made the call while receiving members of the All Nigerian Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) during a courtesy visit to his office.

Speaking during the visit, the President of ANCOPSS, Hajiya Uwani Ahmad Balarabe, appreciated the university management for the reception accorded to the delegation and commended the institution’s leadership for engaging stakeholders in the education sector.

Discussions at the meeting focused on issues affecting education development in Nigeria, particularly strategies for improving access to quality education and addressing the increasing number of out-of-school children.

The two parties emphasized the need for stronger cooperation among educational institutions, policymakers, and community leaders to drive meaningful reforms and sustainable progress in the sector.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor highlighted the importance of innovation, effective planning, and collective responsibility in repositioning the education system for greater impact, especially in Kano State.

He also encouraged school administrators and stakeholders to remain committed to policies capable of improving learning outcomes, increasing school enrolment, and strengthening the future of younger generations.
