Kogi Poly Rector Restructures Leadership with Strategic Senior Appointments
In a decisive move to enhance institutional efficiency and academic excellence, the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Professor Salihu Sanusi Avidime, has approved a series of key appointments. Announced on April 17, 2026, these changes are part of a broader strategy to reposition the Polytechnic as a premier centre for teaching and research.
Acting Director, Directorate of Undergraduate Studies: Mr. Joel Tope Ebenezer, a Chief Lecturer, has been appointed to lead the directorate in its affiliation with the Federal University, Lokoja. Having previously served as Deputy Director, Mr. Joel is expected to bring stability and deep institutional knowledge to the role.
Acting Director, Directorate of SIWES: Mrs. Audu Lucy Hassana, a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science, makes history as the first woman to head this unit. Her appointment highlights the Rector’s commitment to gender inclusivity and strengthening industrial linkages for students.
Acting Dean, School of Agricultural Technology: Mr. Usman Francis Roberts has been elevated to this role to drive academic excellence and research in line with national agricultural priorities.
