Teslimat Abiola Nurudeen, a final-year student at Kwara State University (KWASU), has etched her name in the institution's history books. On April 20, 2026, the Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering student became the first undergraduate from the university to successfully complete a solo flight at the Ilorin International Airport.

The historic 24-minute circuit flight was the culmination of months of intensive preparation, including rigorous ground school, simulator drills, and supervised flight hours.

During a formal reception, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, lauded Teslimat’s exceptional feat. He praised her ability to balance demanding academic coursework with the high-pressure environment of pilot training.
