FULafia College of Health Sciences Holds Maiden Indoor Sign-Out Ceremony for Pioneer Students

The College of Health Sciences, Federal University of Lafia, FULafia, has held its first indoor sign-out ceremony for final-year students of the departments of Nursing, Radiography and Medical Laboratory Science.  

The ceremony, held at the 300-Seat Auditorium of the College, marked the graduation of the pioneer set of nursing students.  

In his welcome address, the Provost of the College, Prof. Zira Joseph Dlama, described the event as a transition from studentship to professional practice.  

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Aleruchi Chuku, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, congratulated the students, describing them as a “special breed.”  

Also speaking, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and Partnerships, Prof. Ibrahim Ogiri, urged the students to be good ambassadors of the University, describing them as “pacesetters.”  

Speaking on behalf of the students, the President of the College of Health Sciences Students’ Association, Rejoice Seth, appreciated the lecturers and University Management for their support.  

The highlight of the day was the signing-out session, during which students were called forward by their lecturers and departmental representatives.  

The first student to sign out received a gift from the Chairman of the Sign-Out Committee, Dr. Peter Stephen Akpulu.  

The ceremony ended with appreciation to the organising committee and encouragement to the students as they embark on their professional careers.
