OSPOLY Iree Inaugurates Board of Trustees, Launches N1 Billion Secretariat/Conference Complex Fund

As part of the strategic repositioning agenda of the Governing Council and Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, the institution on Thursday, October 2, 2026, inaugurated its Board of Trustees (BOT) and launched a fund-raising campaign for the proposed N1 billion Secretariat/Conference Complex.

The event was held at the Academic Planning Building of the institution.

The Board of Trustees, chaired by business mogul Dr. Deji Adeleke, comprises captains of industry, distinguished alumni who have excelled in their various fields of endeavour, and seasoned professionals.

The Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, was represented by his Deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi.

Other dignitaries present at the historic occasion included the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Hon. Eluwole Sunday Adedipo; the Chairman of the Governing Council, Hon. Diran Ayanbeku; the Rector of the institution, Alhaji Kehinde Adeyemi Alabi, and other principal officers of the Polytechnic.

In his address, Governor Adeleke eulogised the Management of the institution for constituting the Board, noting that the initiative is a clear demonstration of the State Government's commitment to strengthening educational institutions, expanding opportunities for young people in the state, and building institutions that can respond positively to global changes.
