Kogi State University Vice‑Chancellor Attends CUSTECH Maiden Convocation

Professor K.I.T. Eniola, Vice‑Chancellor of Kogi State University, Kabba, participated as a distinguished guest at the maiden convocation ceremony of the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, on Saturday, 29 November 2025.

The historic event — which celebrated the graduation of 266 pioneering students, including 31 first‑class honours recipients — brought together senior government officials, traditional rulers and academic leaders to mark the university’s inaugural milestone and commend its rapid growth in science and technology education. ¹ ² ³

Professor Eniola joined other top dignitaries — among them former Governors Yahaya Bello and Idris Wada, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and several university heads — in applauding CUSTECH’s achievements and the broader advancement of higher education in Kogi State.

The convocation highlighted the university’s expansion to eight faculties, a college, 44 departments and more than 5,000 students within five years of establishment, as well as the federal approval of its MBBS programme and plans for further infrastructural development.

The participation of Professor Eniola underscored the collaborative spirit among Kogi’s tertiary institutions and the collective commitment to promoting academic excellence across the state.
