KWASU Business School Hosts Seminar on Health Management for Managers and Administrators

The August edition of the KWASU Business School Seminar Series focusing on "Health Management for Managers and Administrators", brought together administrators, faculty, students, and healthcare professionals together to discuss the role of self-care in the quest for a healthy and productive work life.

In his opening remarks at the event which took place on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the KWASU International Conference Centre, the Dean of the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, Dr. Mustapha Abdulrahman emphasized the importance for managers to learn to manage their time and health just as effectively as they manage teams and targets.

The acting Director, KWASU Business School, Dr. Abdulrazak Mustapha, on his part, said the seminar series was developed as a strategic tool for the training and retraining of professionals in alignment with the University’s mission to develop capable managers and administrators.

The guest speaker, Dr. Nimat Bola Idris, in her presentation, shed light on the causes and impact of workplace stress and burnout, explaining that poor health leads to decreased productivity and loss of valuable work hours.

She advocated for self-care and preventive health practices, reminding attendees that taking care of oneself isn’t self-indulgence but self-preservation.
