KWASU Council Commends Governor AbdulRazaq's Initiative in Health and Education Sectors

The Chairman of the Governing Council of Kwara State University, Malete, Professor AbdulGaniyu Ambali OON, has commended the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for upgrading the Ilorin General Hospital to Kwara State University Teaching Hospital (KWASUTH).

This initiative is seen as a step in the right direction, providing opportunities for medical students' training and improving healthcare delivery services.

Professor Ambali, accompanied by the KWASU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, visited the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of KWASUTH, Dr. Bola Ahmed, to prepare for the final accreditation of the medical school.

The council urged the hospital management to ensure a seamless and successful accreditation by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria in September.

Dr. Bola Ahmed expressed appreciation for the visit and noted that the state governor's efforts in upgrading the hospital and providing critical medical equipment have significantly enhanced healthcare service delivery. The CMD assured that the hospital is well-equipped to train medical students and provide quality healthcare with the current support from the state government.
