LASCOHET Inducts 768 Students at 26th Matriculation Ceremony

The Lagos State College of Health Technology (LASCOHET) held its 26th Matriculation Ceremony today, officially inducting 768 newly admitted students into various health programs across the institution.

The Provost, Professor Raheem Olasupo Akewushola, congratulated the matriculating students for securing admission into Nigeria's first College of Health Technology, highlighting their achievement given the highly competitive entrance examinations.

Professor Akewushola encouraged the students to approach their studies with determination and a renewed mindset. He stressed the demanding nature of the healthcare sector, which requires diligence, caution, and conscientiousness when handling human lives. He also issued a stern warning regarding academic integrity, stating the college has a zero-tolerance policy for examination malpractice, which will be met with strict sanctions.

Delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the Honourable Commissioner for Tertiary Education, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Adeniran Kasali, charged the new students to be exemplary ambassadors of the college. Mr. Kasali lauded LASCOHET’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s most sought-after health institutions, recognized for academic excellence and the quality of its graduates.
