FULAFIA VC Kida Charges New Deans on Accountability, Transparency

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia, Prof Mohammed Isa Kida, has charged newly inaugurated deans of faculties to uphold accountability, transparency and discipline in discharge of duties.

Kida gave the charge during inauguration at Old Senate Chamber of University's Administrative Building, Permanent Site Campus.

He expressed satisfaction with peaceful conduct of election and appointment processes, noting inauguration was second ceremony of its kind held this year.

The Vice-Chancellor urged deans to exercise financial prudence, ensure accountability in management of resources and collaborate with Management to achieve institution's strategic goals.

He called on them to intensify efforts to curb examination malpractice and promote academic integrity across faculties.

Earlier, Registrar, Dr Nuradeen Abdu, congratulated deans, urging them to demonstrate commitment, transparency and accountability while ensuring staff were carried along in decision-making.

The ceremony featured administration of oath of office and presentation of appointment letters.
