LASU Announces Admission into 2026/2027 JUPEB Programme at School of Basic and Advanced Studies
Lagos State University (LASU), through its School of Basic and Advanced Studies (LASUSBAS), has announced the commencement of admission applications into its Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The one-year intensive programme, scheduled to commence in September 2026 and run until August 2027, is designed to prepare qualified and academically promising candidates for admission into 200-level degree programmes at Lagos State University and other JUPEB-affiliated universities.
The programme will be held at the LASUSBAS Campus, ASCON Road, Topo, Badagry, Lagos.
Admission Requirements
Interested applicants are required to possess five (5) O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
Candidates who meet the admission requirements will be invited for a written qualifying examination. Applicants invited for the examination are expected to come with the following documents:
• National Identification Number (NIN) Slip
• Birth Certificate
• O’Level Result
• One Passport Photograph
The University stated that the names on the NIN, Birth Certificate and O’Level Result must be the same. Awaiting results will not be accepted.
Successful candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of Thirty Thousand Naira (₦30,000.00) only.
Criteria for Transition to 200 Level
The University will determine the course allocation for admitted students. All students enrolled in the programme will sit for the JUPEB examination at the end of the academic session, and successful candidates will proceed to 200 Level based on their areas of study, including Sciences, Arts, Social Sciences and Management Sciences.
Candidates should note the following:
• Successful candidates admitted into degree programmes at 200 Level must purchase the Direct Entry JAMB Form.
• Students who fail the JUPEB examination may be allowed to repeat the programme but will be required to pay all necessary fees.
• Students who voluntarily withdraw from the programme after admission will not be eligible for a refund of school fees.
Method of Application
Applicants are required to complete the online application process and pay a non-refundable application fee of Fifty Thousand Naira (₦50,000.00) through the University’s official portal: www.lasu.edu.ng/foundation

Closing Date
The closing date for submission of applications is Friday, 4th September 2026.
Qualifying Examination Date
The qualifying examination will hold on Saturday, 5th September 2026, by 11:00 a.m. at the LASUSBAS Campus, ASCON Road, Topo, Badagry, Lagos State.
Commencement of Lectures
Lectures will commence immediately.
