LASU Announces Commencement of Medical Screening for 2025/2026 Fresh Students

The Lagos State University (LASU), through its Directorate of Health Services, has announced the commencement of the medical screening exercise for newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to the notice, the screening exercise will begin on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the LASU Health Centre.

The University explained that, in collaboration with the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), newly admitted students will be scheduled in batches of 50 to 70 per day. Each student will be assigned a specific date for the screening exercise.

Students who fail to attend the screening on their assigned dates will be required to pay a penalty fee, a measure introduced to discourage disruptions and ensure the smooth conduct of the exercise.

Procedure for Medical Screening

To ensure a seamless process, newly admitted students are required to:

• Visit the LASU official website to print their assigned medical screening date.
• Report to the Outpatient Section of the LASU Health Centre on the scheduled date with the following documents:
  • A printed copy of the medical screening schedule
  • Two (2) recent passport photographs
  • A copy of the receipt confirming payment for the medical screening

The University urged all newly admitted students, their parents or guardians, and members of staff to strictly adhere to the screening schedule as announced.
