LASU Law Graduate Lawal Maryam Abiodun Honoured as Best Female Graduating Student and Second‑Overall Best Graduating Student at Nigerian Law School Call‑to‑Bar Ceremony

Lawal Maryam Abiodun, a distinguished graduate of the Faculty of Law (Common and Islamic Law) at Lagos State University (LASU), was named the best female graduating student and the second‑overall best graduating student at the Nigerian Law School Call‑to‑Bar ceremony held on 10 July 2025 in Abuja. Out of 7,134 candidates admitted to the Nigerian Bar, Ms. Abiodun’s outstanding performance set her apart as a symbol of academic excellence.

The Vice‑Chancellor of LASU, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji‑Bello, and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Kareem Olatoye, commended her achievement, describing her as a proud ambassador of the university’s high standards of truth, service and global excellence.
