LASU Vice-Chancellor Congratulates Prof. Raimi Moronfolu on Election as NSSM President

The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, has extended warm congratulations to Professor Raimi Abiodun Moronfolu on his election as President of the Nigeria Society for Sports Management (NSSM).

The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, has extended warm congratulations to Professor Raimi Abiodun Moronfolu on his election as President of the Nigeria Society for Sports Management (NSSM).

Professor Moronfolu, from the Department of Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education, Faculty of Education, LASU, was elected during the 2026 National Conference of the Society, held in Jos from 9th to 12th February 2026. His election marks a significant milestone both personally and for the LASU community.

In her congratulatory message, Professor Olatunji-Bello described the achievement as well-deserved, citing Professor Moronfolu’s academic excellence, administrative expertise, and longstanding contributions to sports management scholarship, which have earned him national recognition.

“Professor Moronfolu’s election reflects his intellectual depth, professional integrity, and unwavering commitment to advancing sports management education and practice in Nigeria,” the Vice-Chancellor stated. She added that LASU is proud of his accomplishments and confident that his leadership will strengthen institutional frameworks, promote research-driven engagement, and enhance collaboration between academia and the sports industry.
