LASU Vice-Chancellor Urges Christian Faithful to Embrace Renewal and Service During Lent
The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, has called on Christian faithful within the university community to embrace spiritual renewal, humility, and service as they observe the Lenten season. In her message, she emphasized the importance of self-examination, charity, and fostering a compassionate academic environment. In a heartfelt message, she emphasized the significance of Lent as a period of spiritual renewal, reflection, and commitment to service.
Professor Olatunji-Bello urged students and staff to use this sacred period for introspection and to deepen their relationship with God. She highlighted that Lent is not only about personal growth but also about embracing the values of humility, charity, and service to others, particularly in fostering the vision of LASU as a world-class institution.
