LAUTECH VC, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, Praises IWF Over 2025 Conference
The Vice Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, has commended the Islamic Welfare Foundation (IWF) for organizing its 2025 International Conference themed “Role of Religion in Nigeria’s Technology, Economic and Security Architecture.”
The Vice Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, has commended the Islamic Welfare Foundation (IWF) for organizing its 2025 International Conference themed “Role of Religion in Nigeria’s Technology, Economic and Security Architecture.”
Speaking at the opening ceremony held this morning at LAUTECH, Professor Kalilu described the theme and timing of the conference as highly relevant, especially at a period when Nigeria has been labelled a Country of Particular Concern.
Represented at the event by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and Innovations), Professor Dahud Araromi, the Vice Chancellor highlighted the economic difficulties confronting the nation, noting that dwindling resources and rising costs of living are affecting many Nigerians. He emphasized that universities across the country face similar challenges and stressed the importance of collective efforts, including leveraging religious platforms, to address national economic and social issues.
