MAUTECH Stars Club Celebrates VC One Year in Office

On 14th August, the leadership of the MAU Stars Club paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of MAU Yola, Prof. Ibrahim Umar, to celebrate his one-year anniversary in office and commend his remarkable achievements in supporting student welfare.

The leadership formally introduced the MAU Stars Club, outlining its mission and vision, and how the club intends to promote the university’s image and values to the public.

In recognition of his outstanding leadership, dedication, and contributions to the growth and success of students and the university community.

Alongside the award, the club also presented a pencil sketch portrait of the VC as a commemorative gift.

The Vice Chancellor was officially appointed as the Pioneer Grand Patron of MAU Stars Club and received the club’s official shirt.

The club expressed appreciation for the VC’s generosity during the recent VC Cup, where he awarded ₦1 million to the football winners. They also noted the absence of volleyball in the lineup. In response, the VC promised that next year’s tournament will feature five sports: football, basketball, lawn tennis, badminton, and volleyball.

The VC addressed student concerns raised during the meeting, praised MAU Stars for promoting the university’s good image, and encouraged the club to continue sensitizing students on the benefits of NELFund. He urged all students to abide by the rules and regulations of the university.

As Grand Patron, he assured that both himself and the DVCs are always available to support MAU Stars Club at any time. To aid the club’s work, he generously gifted two brand-new desktop computers and other office equipment.
