The Students' Union Government (SUG) of Modibbo Adama University, Yola (MAUTECH) has issued an official notice adjusting the closing times of the university gates to enhance security for students.
The update follows a meeting between the SUG leadership and the university’s Chief Security Officer.
New Gate Closing Schedule:
- Water Gate & Small Gate (Starlet Gate): Close at 8:00 PM daily.
- Primary School Gate: Remains open until 11:00 PM to provide additional flexibility for student movement.
The notice, signed by SUG President Sen. Yazeed Bello and Secretary General Ahidjo Jibirilla Adamu, emphasizes that the revised timings were carefully considered in consultation with the university’s security team, with student welfare as the top priority.
Students are urged to cooperate with security personnel at all checkpoints and plan their activities according to the new schedule. The SUG reaffirmed that these measures aim to maintain the safety and security of the entire university community.
