Meet Jibrin Yakubu, the President of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers ATBU Bauchi

Jibrin Yakubu hails from Gombe, Gombe State. He is currently a 400-level student in the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering at ATBU Bauchi.

Jibrin embarked on his educational journey at Gombe Model School for nursery school, followed by Universal Nursery and Primary School for his primary education. Later, he enrolled in Jibwis Islamic Science Secondary School Arawa Gombe, where he held the position of Prefect of Special Duty and Maintenance.

After completing secondary school, he gained admission to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, where he is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Alongside his academic pursuits, Jibrin assumes the role of President at the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, ATBU Bauchi, showcasing his adept leadership skills and commitment to supporting and serving his peers.

Beyond his academic and leadership endeavors, Jibrin is a multifaceted individual. He started as an apprentice and worked at Smile Tailoring Centre and a mechanic garage. Additionally, he serves as a First Aid member of JIBWIS and teaches in a primary school in his community as a means of giving back.

Notably, Jibrin is also a proficient skateboarder, often seen shredding the streets of his community with finesse.
