Ministry Of Defence Uplifts Nigerian Army University Biu

The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to transforming the Nigerian Army University Biu, NAUB, into a premier institution for specialised military and civilian capacity building.

This is contained in a statement by the Special Adviser, Media to the Minister of Defence, Leah Katung-Babatunde.

General Musa stated this while receiving the University’s Governing Council at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Abuja. He assured the management of sustained strategic support and emphasised that NAUB remains critical to equipping personnel with the technical and operational expertise required to defeat complex contemporary security challenges.

The statement further disclosed that the Ministry of Defence will collaborate directly with the Armed Forces of Nigeria to fully utilize the 30% admission quota allocated to military personnel to bridge specialised skill gaps across the national security landscape.

The Pro-Chancellor of NAUB, Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, commended General Musa for his tenacious leadership and strategic foresight, noting that his contributions continue to strengthen Nigeria's defence architecture.
