Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Appoints Mrs. Folasade Madariola as 8th Bursar

The Governing Council of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, has approved the appointment of Mrs. Folasade Ajewole Madariola, FCA, as the 8th Bursar of the institution.

The Governing Council of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, has approved the appointment of Mrs. Folasade Ajewole Madariola, FCA, as the 8th Bursar of the institution. The announcement, conveyed in a letter signed by the Chairman of the Governing Council, Emeritus Prof. Kamaldeen Balogun, takes effect from Tuesday, September 10, 2024, for a single non-renewable term of five years.

Mrs. Madariola, who becomes the 2nd female to hold this position, succeeds Mr. Fatai Yekini, FCA, whose tenure ended on September 9, 2024. Having joined the Polytechnic in 1999 as an Accountant II, Mrs. Madariola steadily rose through the ranks and was serving as Chief Accountant in the Bursary Department before her new appointment.

An alumna of Ogun State Polytechnic (now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic) with a background in Accountancy, Mrs. Madariola also holds a First Class degree in Accounting from Crescent University. Additionally, she earned her Master’s degree in Business Administration, specializing in finance, from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology.

Mrs. Madariola is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (ACIT), and a member of Women in Technical Education (WITED). She has contributed to academia with five scholarly publications and numerous conference papers.

During the presentation of her appointment letter, the Rector, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji, alongside Deputy Rector Dr. (Mrs.) Yetunde Lanre-Iyanda, congratulated Mrs. Madariola and wished her success in her new role.

Mrs. Folasade Madariola is married and blessed with children.
