MSSN FCE(T) Gombe Mourns the Passing of Mal. Faruk Hassan

The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe chapter, has issued a formal condolence message following the passing of Mal. Faruk Hassan, a respected staff member of the Department of Economics. 

In a statement released on Monday, February 23, 2026, the association expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing it as a significant blow to both the academic department and the wider college community.

The MSSN leadership extended its heartfelt sympathies to the family of the deceased, his colleagues, and the management of the College. The message, anchored in the Islamic reflection "Inna lillāhi wa inna ilayhi rājiʿūn" (To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return), called for spiritual strength for those left behind. 

"We pray that Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, grants him Jannatul-Firdaus, and gives his family and the college community the patience to bear this great loss," the statement read.

Colleagues within the Department of Economics have begun paying tribute to Mal. Faruk Hassan, remembering him for his contributions to the intellectual development of students at the FCE(T) Gombe.

The College management is expected to release further details regarding any commemorative session or official visit to the bereaved family in the coming days.
