The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Gombe State University Branch, has successfully hosted its first mega event, an orientation program for newly admitted students.

The program, held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, was chaired by the Vice Chancellor of Gombe State University, Prof. Usman Aliyu El-nafaty, OFR.

The event featured presentations from notable speakers, including Dr. Yusuf Umar Ahmad, Deputy Chief Imam of GSU, and Prof. Fatima Umar Maigari, Head of Department of Medical Biochemistry. They emphasized the importance of focusing on academic pursuits and avoiding distractions.

The Acting Chief Security Officer of GSU, Mal. Shekarau Sani, encouraged students to familiarize themselves with the university's regulations and handbook. The Vice Chancellor, represented by Dr. Usman Bala, urged students to apply the lessons learned during the orientation.

The program was attended by dignitaries, including the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hassana Y. Bello (represented by Mal. Usman Garba), GOSSA National President Comr. Muhammad Abubakar Bako, SRC-GSU President Comr. Ibrahim Ibrahim, and student leaders.

The MSSN Gombe State University Branch President, Muhammad Abubakar Alkali, expressed gratitude to the guests and congratulated the newly admitted students.
